Britney Spears seen with Mel Gibson

Pop star Britney Spears is reportedly holidaying in Costa Rica with Hollywood action-star Mel Gibson. The Toxic singer and her father Jamie headed to Costa Rica with Mel and his wife Robyn. The four are reportedly staying at the Braveheart actor’s holiday home in the South American country and plan to return next week. Britney Spears and Jamie Spears were seen boarding a private plane together.

A source said: "They're just going away for a few days to relax." Paparazzi photos showed Britney Spears playing on Barrigona beach on the Pacific coast in Samara with an unidentified man. Britney Spears and Mel Gibson became friends after the singer was hospitalized in February. They met up several times but their friendship was only made public in mid-March when they were seen dining together in California.

A source at the time revealed: “Mel and his wife Robin clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible. There are no expectations, there is no agenda. "It's simply an act of human kindness - one neighbour reaching out to the other." Mel Gibson and Britney Spears used to have homes in the same Malibu neighbourhood.
