Britney Spears’ dad planning intervention as Britney passes drugs tests

Britney Spears‘ dad Jamie Spears is reportedly looking into staging an intervention to persuade his daughter to get help.
Britney became estranged from her parents earlier this year after feeling they and her then-manager Larry Rudolph conspired to “push” her into rehab, but is said to have reconciled with her mum Lynne Spears this weekend. Yet the tension the previous “push” caused, Jamie is considering doing it again.
A source close to the family told the Sun: “[Jamie] is consulting lawyers about the best way to help Britney. He feels they need to stage an intervention to get her into rehab or some kind of therapy. He is worried she is going to harm herself or the boys.”
“Jamie is also concerned about her wild lifestyle. She is spending money like it is going out of fashion - checking into hotels when she has two homes in LA. He feels she should be putting the money aside for her kids.”
Britney lost custody of her two sons Sean and Jayden last week but has had monitored visits with them on Saturday, Monday and yesterday. Parent coach Lisa Hacker is said to have been on hand at each of the visits to watch and make suggestions to help the star.
Britney’s lawyer Sorrell Trope has also confirmed that Britney has taken the court-mandated drug and alcohol tests ahead of seeing the boys - and passed each one.
Sorrell told People magazine yesterday: “She’s passed her random drug tests. There’s been more than one. They came up negative.”
“[Her chances of regaining custody are] good, based on the overall circumstances of the case.”
